FAQ

What is hypnosis?

How is hypnosis induced?

  • The hypnotist relaxes you as you listen to the sound of thier voice. Once in a relaxed state the hypnotist uses guided imagery and positive suggestions to beneift the client.

Can I be made to do things I am uncomfortable with?

  • No. The individual will only respond to suggestions that will have a positive impact upon thier life and suggestions which do not contradict ones morales, beliefs, religion and ethics.

Does hypnosis wear off?

  • No. Because changes brought about by hypnosis are self rewarding the effects will be long lasting.

Are there any harmful after effects?

  • No. After being hypnotised people feel relaxed but very in control of their faculties and are able to perform any task or duties e.g. concentrating or working. All suggestions given during hypnosis are positive and for the person's benefit.

Will I remember what I've heard after listening to my hypnotic recording?

  • Hypnosis is not an unconscious state, so you will remember what has been said. If you have no apparent memory of what has been said it is likely to be due to the fact that you were drifting/daydreaming into your own pleasant thoughts. This is normal during hypnosis.

What is the difference between hypnotherapy and stage hypnosis?

  • To put it simply, hypnotherapy is mind strengthening using your imagination while on the other hand stage hypnosis might be considered to be mind bending and utilises a person's willingness to volunteer. Open Circle recordings stricktly focus on mind strengthening which is a personal and individual experience while stage hypnosis is a group experience that does not benefit the hypnotised person.
