Hypnotherapy has grown in popularity in Ireland and indeed around the world over the last decade. Hypnotherapy has grown as the treatment of choice for many especially those who have exhausted all other avenues only to find hypnotherapy to be amazingly successful. |

| Control, who is in control of your life. Many people have a fear of being hypnotised probably due to watching old horror movies, comic depictions of hypnotists and the stage hypnotists. |
| In fact I can safely say that I have never heard a hypnotherapist say something like: |

| Hypnotherapy can be likened to concentrating on your favourite TV show. You can hear the show but you somehow block out other noises around you. Just like that while in hypnosis you will hear the hypnotherapist’s voice and focus intensely on achieving your goal. |

| A Little Story |
| Fiona was always shy, she was known in school for being the shy and quiet type. Everyone liked Fiona growing up because she was a nice girl. However Fiona wanted more for herself than the label of the nice shy girl. |
| Fiona grew older and got her first job and from the outside appeared incredibly happy. However what people couldn’t see was that Fiona was unhappy deep down. What people didn’t know is that Fiona wanted to go to that wedding that she was invited to but was too shy, people didn’t know that Fiona wanted to be a nurse but was too shy to go to college on her own, they didn’t know that she was asked out by a nice guy who she met by chance but said no because of embarrassment and has regretted it since. |
| At work Fiona kept her head down and just worked but never talked to her colleagues at lunch time and instead read a book on her own. Eventually Fiona sought change in her life; she wanted to be outgoing but didn’t know how. |
| Fiona entered hypnotherapy after years of considering it but was too shy to phone, so she emailed. Fiona found entering the therapy room for the first time almost impossible because of her shy nature. Fiona’s first therapy session was a life changing event but it took a few more session to get Fiona to a place where she was super confident. |
